Cash System X Review,
from a genuine user!

Jonny Andrews Over-Delivers a FEAST!
Question: But do PLAIN INGREDIENTS spoil the menu?

A FIRSTHAND review from a pre-launch customer of the latest “business in a box” marketing product.

Example of generated mini-sites, squeeze pages and videos.

UPDATE: Cash System X launched on 2nd March, 2010 and quickly sold out. If you want to be notified if and when it opens again then sign up using the form at the bottom of this page.

JONNY ANDREWS is about to launch his new, automated online marketing system and he’s making some super strong claims about it.

He promises to deliver a complete selling system that’s a breeze to setup and will then run virtually hands-free.

Sounds great, but surely we’ve heard it before? SO WHAT’S THE REAL STORY?

I’m fortunate enough to have grabbed an early look at Cash System X (CSX).

In fact I’m using the system right now as part of my online business. I have a live web site running it, so this comprehensive review is based on real experience.

This Cash System X review is lengthy and detailed so fix yourself a coffee and make sure you are comfortable. I’m betting you’ll want to know if this product lives up to the sales pitch, if it can really help you build a viable online business quickly and without the need for technical expertise and if it delivers real value worth the asking price.

Read on and these questions will be answered for you.

A note before you begin. Be assured I am NOT an affiliate for this product, I’m just a customer. You won’t find any affiliate links on this page and I have not been nor will be compensated financially or otherwise for providing you with this review.

So First the Good News, the Software is ROCK SOLID!

Most new software launches with bugs, often lots of bugs, and other little niggles or usability issues that get ironed out over time as users provide feedback to the programmers.

I’ve got to congratulate the team at CSX though. So far I haven’t managed to find any significant issues with their software.

My background is in commercial software development. It drives me nuts to see the low quality, sloppy systems regularly delivered by Internet marketers. The sort of stuff that would get laughed out of a serious I.T. testing round.

So I’m relieved and impressed that CSX delivers solid, stable and accessible software. But that’s what I expect anyway if I’m paying for a computer program. The thing should work, right? It should perform as advertised.

Tick that box and let’s move on…

Cash System X – Here’s the Deal

Good software is only as useful as the product it delivers. If I have a shoddy, rip-off e-book I want to dump on unsuspecting victims, wrapping it in state of the art software won’t make it worth the read.

What makes a quality Internet marketing product? Well, it at least has to deliver on its stated purpose. It should have a real value. It has to succeed in what it claims on the outside of the box.

Let’s take a closer look at the claims made for CSX.

  • A Freebie! You’re going to get a free domain name, registered for a year.
  • More Giveaway Goodness! You’ll also get free hosting. Set up for you.
  • Don’t Make Me Work! You’re going to get your own web site and squeeze pages, BUILT AUTOMATICALLY, content included.
  • I Suck at Making Videos! Never fear, you get a professionally produced sales video to promote your product and build your list.
  • No Product? Think Again! You’re going to get your product pre-built in the form a series of brand new, never released coaching videos.
  • Spoil Your New Customers! You’ll also get the transcript of your video product so you can add that as a bonus for your customers.
  • Easy Money! You get to add your own PayPal button without having to know a thing about coding or HTML, just enter your email address and hit submit.
  • Keep All the Cash! You get to keep 100% of the profits you generate from each sale you’ll make.
  • Make the Sale! You’ll be getting a prepared auto-responder sequence that you can copy and paste right into your auto-responder account.
  • I Hate Writing Content! You’ll get expertly spun articles directly related to your product that produce hundreds of unique articles for submission to directories and social media networks.
  • Somebody Get Me Traffic! You’re getting automated submission software so you can easily build back-links using your articles. This gets your product sales pages indexed in the major search engines.
  • Spell It Out For Me! You get training videos that teach you step-by-step how to use the software and promote your site.
  • Don’t Leave Me Hanging! And you get access to a customer support help desk, not that you’ll need it because it’s all just so easy.
  • I Only Bet On Sure Things! And to ice the cake you’ll get your 60 day, no questions, money back guarantee should for some reason you decide building an automated income stream virtually hands-free is not for you.

Bundle all those benefits together and what does it mean? What’s in it for you?

Put simply, Jonny Andrews is building your business for you. The whole shooting match, the domain, the hosting, the web site, the sales pages, the sales video, the product, the bonus, the payment processor, your list, and even your traffic!

So what do you have to do? Well, you choose your own domain name and you need to enter your PayPal address so you can collect your sales income, and you’ll need to set up your auto-responder campaigns by doing a little copying and pasting.

Then, you’ll need to spend as little or as much time as you want per day building your traffic by submitting your already prepared articles to directories and social media sites. But even that won’t really tax you because the submission software takes care of all the boring stuff like form filling.

And did I mention the module dedicated to teaching you how to outsource the whole business once you have it up and running?

Looks like you’re out of a job buddy! No more work, just autopilot income hitting your bank account while you get on with other things. X-Box anyone?

This Crazy Guy Doesn’t Know When to Stop!

Wait! This is where things get INSANE!

You see, with CSX you don’t just get one all-singing, all-dancing business in a box. That would be way, way too conventional.

That would be positively “Run of the mill”, old hat… No, no, here’s what you get:

  • SIX squeeze pages,
  • SIX promotional videos,
  • SIX professional video products to sell,
  • SIX auto-responder sequences,
  • SIX spun article sets,
  • SIX businesses in a box, set up for you!

Somebody just re-wrote the definition of “Over-Delivery”, and suddenly any ifs, buts or maybes become a no-brainer!

But Hold Up For Just a Minute!

Remember those “PLAIN INGREDIENTS” I mentioned right at the top of this review?

Before I continue, please bear the following in mind. I’m working with Cash System X BEFORE its public release. That’s really important because whatever I mention now could well be resolved by the time the product goes public.

So what’s the problem?

One word – POLISH.

The sheen that reflects off a really well executed and meticulously prepared product. We already know the software is great, but the product itself could have been just that little bit better.

It is a good product, but it’s a step away from being great and this deficiency lies in small details scattered here and there.

Make sure you read the whole review because there are grey areas I may view as flaws but you might not be bothered about at all. This is my personal opinion, after all, not gospel. But if you are thinking of investing your money then 10 minutes reading this review is at least going to help you make a wiser investment decision.

So let’s revisit the features and benefits of CSX and get a real insider’s review…

Your Free Domain Registration and Hosting

Well, okay, free is good. But here’s the thing, you don’t get WHOIS privacy protection.

I know a lot of people will ask, “Why would you want to hide your identity anyway?” The simple answer is, I don’t.

But I don’t want my details published for the benefit of every spammer out there either! I always go with privacy protection and compensate by publishing contact details on my web site in a way I can control.

If you go with the free registration option but require privacy protection you can arrange it by paying $9 for what most good registration companies are giving away for free. This negates any cost saving from taking up the free offer.

If I had of known this in advance I would have registered my domain elsewhere, which is possible within the system but not explained in enough detail.

ADVICE: Register your own domain name and use it during CSX setup.

If you’re not bothered about privacy then this doesn’t affect you at all.

With your free hosting account you get cPanel access to your domain and the server performance seems solid enough. You don’t really need to touch any of this if you prefer not to but everything is there for the technically minded. Personally, I’d like the option of hosting my own domain but can see this might present setup and support issues so I understand why it doesn’t appear to be offered.

Picky, picky, you might say. But these little things can make a difference for some people so I thought it was worth a mention.

Choosing Your Domain Name

Now here’s a topic where I disagree with Jonny Andrews. He’s made tons of money, I haven’t, he’s the expert, I’m not. I know, I know, but hear me out for a minute.

During the welcome videos it’s suggested the domain name you choose really doesn’t matter because you won’t be promoting your main domain, rather you’ll be firing traffic at your squeeze pages directly.

Fair enough in terms of targeting the squeeze pages, that makes sense. But don’t just toss away the chance to optimise your domain name. You’ll be promoting products within the Internet marketing space so you’re going to need every advantage you can get.

I recommend you think carefully about your domain name and forego the advice given in the CSX tutorials.

I’d go further and suggest you do some niche keyword research before picking a name. This is a super competitive marketplace populated by many experts who often have dedicated SEO teams at their disposal.

You need every trick to make an impact.

And don’t forget, with CSX you are selling six products. You can approach this on a product by product basis and then run a cross-sell to your list, as suggested in the tutorials. Or you could try to get exposure for your domain home page where all six product are listed. But why not do both? Even if the second method will likely be a lot less effective. Don’t ignore any avenue for getting exposure and making a sale.

This isn’t a flaw in the product, simply an opportunity overlooked in my opinion. I think the idea is you don’t get hung up on decision making and instead get on with building your business. A worthy sentiment but some things do need just a little but if pre-planning.

ADVICE: Pay attention to the domain name you choose.

Your Pre-Built Web Site and Squeeze Pages

Your automatically generated web site is based on WordPress – a good thing. Site layout is a static home page that provides links to all six product pages. These are squeeze pages that collect email subscribers in return for showing them a promotional video. The promotional video converts the lead and buyers end up on a download page where they can access their product.

It’s a tried and tested model that relies on the quality of the promotional video.

The site uses the FlexSqueeze theme but with many of the features turned off. That’s not a problem as the goal is to drive prospects through a linear process, so cutting away distractions is a benefit.

Site design is clean if not spectacular. Everything is clearly set out and easy to navigate. The home page content is a little bland but functional.

Jonny advises you touch nothing as what’s already there has been tested and works. For a beginner this is good advice but I say that in the hope the content for each site has been spun to some degree and there aren’t a hundred identical pages out there.

The squeeze pages are again functional, the pitch is fairly industry standard. These aren’t mouse breaking scrollers (like this review) but instead are built in the modern web 2.0 style with a grabby headline at the top, a short list of benefits to the left and the opt-in box to the right.

With content being so light I’m not sure what prospects the pages have for ranking on SEO alone. Which is why back-linking is fundamental for getting exposure using this system I suppose.

Because everything is based on WordPress and FlexSqueeze there’s great scope to customise the look, feel and content over time. But as a starting point everything is as it should be.

You are promised a pre-built web site with a fully automated sales process for six products. That’s what you get so no complaints here. Thumbs up!

Your Promotional Videos

Each of your squeeze pages will send opt-ins directly to a new page hosting just a promotional video. You get six promotional videos, one for each product, and they are all similarly structured and of the same general quality.

You’ve seen these types of video before, many times no doubt. A basic set of slides containing key bullet points with a narrator relaying the text pretty much word for word.

There are no images or video effects, even background images are absent with the exception of one of the videos.

All the better to concentrate on the message, you might say. But these are maybe just a bit too plain in comparison to some of the effect laden marketing videos we are growing accustomed to seeing more recently.

Voice over is read by the same person (I’m pretty sure) in all six videos even though he introduces himself by different names. Will this last fact present a credibility problem for your cross-selling efforts?

The narrator has a familiar American accented voice that I’m sure I’ve heard before but can’t quite place, it will come to me eventually. He speaks confidently and clearly but it appears each session was a one-take affair because mistakes have not been edited out. You might like that as it makes things more natural. I call it sloppy.

Each video is about 5 minutes long, introduces the product and then sets the typical success scene for the viewer. Shortly before the end your PayPal button appears below the video and the final message is a call to action urging the viewer to click.

So okay, these videos get the job done – but in an unremarkable fashion. My fear is that anyone who has been exposed to Internet marketing in the past will have heard it all before and will quickly get bored. I did and these are supposed to be my promos!

Let’s not be too harsh though. If you aren’t clued up on how to produce video these are better than anything you’ll be able to achieve yourself. And if you are a video whiz, then go with these just to get started and then replace them with your own versions. The script is right there for you to grab as a blueprint. That’s what I’ll do in the long run.

Don’t overlook the fact you get a new subscription to your list each time these videos are viewed, so you don’t have to rely solely on the videos to build your relationships and make the sale.

Verdict? Could have been better but sure could have been a lot worse. Make your own videos if you don’t like these or don’t think they will be effective enough.

Your Ready Made Products

I’ve used the words, “functional, unremarkable, basic”, a few times in this review. This theme pretty much applies to your six pre-made products too.

Each product comes in the form of 10 – 12 short video tutorials. Again we have the Powerpoint slides with the narrator talking over the top, this time in a less sales oriented British accent. Hmm, the effect is a bit, “stamp collector, model railway expert”, no offense to anyone who engages in those fine hobbies.

Each course will certainly teach you the basics about the subject being covered, but not really any more than that. So these tutorials are aimed at beginners.

Look, yet again they get the job done. If your prospect becomes a buyer they will receive value equivalent to the sale price. But no more. That’s fair, you might say, and you’d be correct. I guess this is me making a comparison between the sales pitch for Cash System X and the end result that you will be delivering to your own customers.

The courses aren’t bad, they are solid, they cover basic territory, but they just don’t grab me or make me enthusiastic for the topic being covered.

But let’s stop for a minute and get real. How much of your time and money would it cost for you to produce six complete video courses?

If you don’t have a product right now then these courses are equivalent to most things out there in the same price range.

Jonny Andrews doesn’t reveal the topics covered by the six products in his pre-sales video, so I won’t either other than to say they are targeted bang in the middle of the Internet marketing niche. Put another way, you are going to have a lot of competition.

Will these products cut the mustard? Honestly?

Not when compared to some of the better alternatives out there. I’m sorry to say that but it’s my honest opinion.

Look at it another way. If a prospect comes to you first can you deliver a product that will school them in the basics of a subject they have expressed an interest in? Well the answer now becomes a resounding yes! These aren’t the greatest courses of all time but they are good enough and at the price they are pitched they do actually represent fair value for money.

And don’t forget, you also get the transcripts for the videos so you know what I’m going to suggest next. Over time, one by one, use these courses as blueprints for making your own. If that sounds like something you think is beyond you, stick around in this business a while longer and you’ll soon find these things aren’t nearly as difficult as you imagine.

The products then… a bit of a shame, they could have been better but to start with they’ll do okay.

If you are a beginner don’t forget to use these products yourself. Hey, why not? They’ll teach you the fundamentals of six key Internet marketing models. Six free products, don’t sniff at the value.

You should be thoroughly familiar with everything you are selling anyway, right? Ahem… I’m still working through mine.

Your Auto-responder Campaign

Now you have your web site and six product pages, you’ve sorted out your payment method by simply entering your PayPal address in a text box and clicking submit, your promotional videos are primed to start driving subscribers to your list.

So what are you going to tell them once they arrive?

CSX comes with a three step auto-responder campaign for each of the six products. The messages are short and focus on getting the recipient to view the promotional video if they haven’t done so already.

Hey! Did you watch it yet?
This video will be coming down soon!
This is your last chance then it’s gone!

That sort of stuff, building a sense of urgency. Which is fine, but a bit pushy for people who already watched the video when they subscribed.

The messages are meant to be copy and paste ready but I found they needed a fair bit of tweaking to get the layout right plus the set I received had inconsistencies in the search and replace elements which made the setup job harder than it had to be.

I also couldn’t help but tone down some of the more dramatic content, “Amazing! Incredible! Unbelievable!”, is that any way to describe our train-spotting narrator and the entry level information he relates? Joking! The superlatives didn’t feel right to me so I poured water on them. I may have killed my conversions in the process so you have to make your own decisions on such things.

The advice from Jonny is to touch nothing because, hey, these things are proven to work. And he’s most likely correct but I’m the type that feels bad about hyping it up to people if I don’t really love the product. I know, I’m not going to get anywhere in this business!

I’ll end up split-testing and then I’ll have my answer, but copy aside it’s my opinion the messages weren’t truly copy and paste ready as claimed and needed at least the formatting fixes I mentioned.

Of course the six campaigns are a distance better than starting out with a blank page so yes, they definitely save you time.

Auto-responder campaign, you say? That’s right, to properly utilise CSX you’ll need to subscribe to an auto-responder service such as AWeber or GetResponse. And that costs you money, so be aware. AWeber weighs in at around $150 per annum, but is worth every penny and can you really be in this game without an auto-responder? Not if you’re at all serious.

There are training videos in the CSX members’ area to get you started, they focus on AWeber. It’s not complicated but it’s still a fairly major step creating your first email campaign. But that’s a good thing, taking action and all that!

Your Pre-Spun Articles and the Submission Software

Without traffic nothing else matters so now you need to drive customers to your offers. This is where the dedicated article submission software that comes as a major feature with CSX steps up.

Here’s the idea.

We all know that back-links are the life blood of getting ranked on the major search engines. Today there are many ways to get these back-links but it’s a tedious process having to follow discussion forums, book-marking sites, do your Tweet thing, write fresh content and post it to article directories. I mean there’s hardly any time left for the Playstation once you trudge through all that – on a daily basis!

So, clever people took to designing automated methods to do this donkey work and now there are tons of tools and services out there that will auto-submit spun copies of your content to all the major online article directories, book-marking sites and social media venues. Hey presto! Back-links galore at the click of a button. Or so the theory goes.

Fact is, most of the victim target sites prefer human participants to robot visitors so they often go to extraordinary lengths to prevent automatic submissions. And then it becomes a war between the developers of the robots and the site owners, sometimes your auto-submissions will work and other times you have to wait for the next software update.

The team at CSX makes no secret about the nature of auto-submission software and tells you it will not always be 100% perfect because it’s just not possible to achieve that level of efficiency. And their system covers an awful lot of possibilities, ranging from the article directories through book-marking sites and blogs and podcasts and press releases all the way to video submission. Ambitious.

Warning, I haven’t had as much exposure to this software as I would have liked. It’s new and I have only been a customer a short time. Also we’ve only reached the article submission stage so far. Yet it appears to work well. No kidding!

Here’s a brief tour.

Before you begin submitting your content you need to create accounts on each of the sites you plan to post to. Painless, just fill a few text boxes and you are good to go. There are instructional videos to help you along.

As a test I picked the first pre-spun article from the six you are initially supplied with – one article per product – and fired up the submission software which runs as an application on your desktop rather than through your browser.

For each article you need to set up a profile. This involves copy and pasting the article title, subject line, extract, main body and bio into a form. Easy.

Then you select from a list (ranked in page rank order) the article directory you want to submit to. I started out with a page rank 6 site, there are 30-40 to choose from.

The software goes and fetches the relevant submission form on the target site, hopefully logs you in and then auto-populates the form. This isn’t plain sailing the first time you do it but that’s not the fault of CSX. It’s down to the fact you have to confirm your account with the target site which tends to involve the usual email double opt-in procedure.

With that out of the way you should see a spun version of your article ready to submit. Fire it off and job done. Then move on to the next site, and the next, and the next, repeating the process.

What’s the upshot? You’re saving time doing the tedious tasks that are essential if you want to get your products out there and make sales.

If you don’t already have auto-submission software then this one feature of CSX alone is worth a significant portion of the asking price. Provided it continues to work as well as I have experienced so far.

The one criticism I would have is it’s a bit slow sometimes. You can be left looking at an empty form waiting for it to be pre-filled and wondering if you should be doing something to help the process along. But, in the end, you’ll usually see your text pop into place. They’ll want to improve this or else it won’t really be as much of a time saver!

But a significant issue is the quality of the pre-spun articles. They are average (if I am kind). Bland and repetitive.

Even if you just don’t care how you appear to potential customers, you still won’t be able to use the articles on all the submission sites as they often spin out below the minimum allowed word count, sometimes by over a hundred words! Doesn’t anybody ever test these things – apart from the end user?

You see that again? Great software delivering mediocre product. It’s a shame because these articles should have been the device to showcase the software, instead they may end up unfairly tarnishing it.

You’ll want to either extend and re-write these articles or develop fresh ones. And that’s going to bite into the time you are supposed be saving by using Cash System X. Doh!

ADVICE: Write and spin your own articles if you know how.

A final mention for the submission software though. If this is version 1 then I’m looking forward to how this genuinely useful application progresses and I’m eager to press on with the other functionality such as blog posting and video submission. Provided you use suitable content the more you use it the more time you are going to save, so it works as intended. Good stuff!

Help Desk and Customer Support

Pinch of salt time. So far my experience with the support team at CSX is very, very good. I’m talking rapid response to a series of enquiries I’ve already submitted, mostly to gain further information.

But, I’m in a pre-launch test group so it would be unfair of me to suggest this level of customer support will carry through once the doors are swung open and the avalanche begins. Just as it would be unfair of me to assume standards will drop.

There’s an easy to use ticketing system accessible through the members’ area and so far I am 100% satisfied with the level of care I have received. I’ve even had direct contact with Jonny via the ticket system, so his claims that he mucks in himself appear to be true.

Good job, hope they can maintain it.

The Verdict

Let me remind you once again that I have been using and reviewing a pre-launch version of this product. By the time you sign up that polish I’m saying is lacking may well have been applied, along with a second coating if the standards of over-delivery in other areas are repeated.

CSX is first and foremost a great suite of automation tools. Obviously a lot of work has gone into producing the software and this is reflected in its stability and usability. On this level, CSX hits it out of the park.

In addition to the software you get all the content and products you need to start running your business straight away. Unfortunately this is where the product wobbles and at best these elements can be described as adequate.

There’s also the important consideration of trying to sell six products in a highly congested marketplace, especially when they don’t stand out from the crowd. Out of the box sales copy is okay but nothing special.

It is my opinion that if you use the system and products as provided and without modification you may struggle to recoup your investment in the short term. In the medium term you should be okay though. Crunching the numbers you’ll only need to sell 20 odd products to get your money back, not too onerous.

But the Real Value is Hidden in PLAIN Sight

I doubt it was in Jonny Andrew’s plans for you to base your entire marketing career on the six pitches and six products he has provided to get you started. But I’m sure his intention is to grab you and force you to take action to get your business launched in very short order.

I set up this system within about 8 hours and anybody, even a complete novice, could do it within 24 hours. And that’s the real value of this product, you end up with a complete business that is operational from top to bottom and you can do it without any specialised knowledge or skills.

That’s powerful and it’s empowering. Especially if you’ve been drowning in information overload and blowing your money on every other launch that comes along in the hope some 8 or 12 or 24 week class will somehow remove whatever barrier has prevented you from making a start!

If you want to start a business online fast, I mean super fast, then buy CSX. Don’t forget you are protected with a cash back guarantee so you run no risk. Follow the simple instructions and within a few hours you have your business, no gaps, no holes, top to tail and it really is as simple as that.

What you do with it afterwards it up to you – although I believe Jonny has further plans for training and development to help you along. Stick with the original six products? Why not start using all that other stuff you have bought but never acted on to improve the business you just launched!

That would be my advice and that’s why I originally told you to pay close attention to your domain name because this can be the central hub for everything you do with your business. Start improving your site and start adding new products. Maybe your hard drive is filled up with PLR stuff that you’ve never even opened. So copy one of your CSX product pages and create a new page for a long forgotten PLR product, change a few bits of text, copy a download page, go and set up an auto-responder sequence, that’s product number 7. Do you see?

Start blogging from your home page to generate unique content designed to rank and pick up traffic that can be driven to your products.

Stick up banner ads, integrate AdSense, get cracking with SEO, there are WordPress plugins to do all of this for you. Now courses you bought on writing sales copy can be put to use! Those SEO video tutorials you paid a fortune for can start to pay you back. All the networks you signed up for now have a home and this can all happen very fast once you have a solid foundation to build on. You are one purchase and 24 hours of your time (maximum) away from that foundation.

Stick man holding a green tick symbol

We Have a Winner!

Not only is CashSystemX a business in a box, it’s a plain view, no secrets blueprint for creating an online business running a model that has been proven to work. This is it’s strongest feature. Only the article submission software is proprietary code, everything else you’ll need is WordPress based. Copy, paste and tweak your way to a bigger and better business, make it just the way you want.

Start small, think big. All the complexities, all the excuses have been BLOWN AWAY! You have a clear path ahead of you should you choose to take it.

If you have been trying to make a start in Internet marketing but haven’t taken action yet or you can’t make your process work, this product is for you.

I RECOMMEND IT, I use it and I will continue to use it. And that’s the acid test for any genuine endorsement.

Doors open on March 2nd.

That’s it! My Cash System X Review. I’ve given you the absolute low down right from behind the buy button.

I remind you I have not been paid in any way to provide this review nor am I an affiliate for this product!

What you have is my honest opinion and my appraisal based on experience.

You’ll notice I haven’t mentioned the price, that’s because I only know what I paid and have no idea if the launch price will be the same. I’ll leave it for the vendor to deal with all that kind of stuff. I’m also reluctant to give you links at this stage because I understand the product is going through a pre-launch stage and I don’t want to affect that. Google is your friend for these kinds of things.
